Shelving & Storage Accessories

Shelving and storage accessories are the add-on components that complete or upgrade a shelving system. They include solid undershelves, shelf support kits and equipment stands with adjustable feet. Rather than replacing an entire unit, a single accessory can close a gap, add a shelf tier or stabilise a piece of equipment — saving money and extending the life of what you already own.

You'll find solid undershelves in multiple widths, shelf support kits for modular shelving frames and height-adjustable equipment stands designed to pair with specific cooking units. Brands include Metro, Vogue, Cambro, Gresilva and Rational, so there are options suited to both light-duty storage and heavier equipment support across the 76 products listed in this category.

A solid undershelf bolts beneath an existing shelf to create a sealed lower tier, which is useful for storing trays, sheet pans or containers that would otherwise fall through an open wire deck. A shelf support kit provides the structural brackets and fittings needed to add or reposition a shelf level on a compatible frame. If you already have the shelf panel, go with the support kit; if you need the full surface, choose an undershelf.

Solid undershelves in this category span a range of widths — from compact units around 600 mm up to longer runs near 2400 mm. Depth options vary by model, so check the product page dimensions against your existing frame before ordering. Most units are designed to drop straight onto standard shelving posts without modification.

The Rational height-adjustable stands stocked here are engineered to pair with specific iVario models. Fitting a stand to the wrong unit can affect stability and safe operation, so always match the stand model number to your equipment's model number. The product listing will confirm compatibility, and our team can help if you are unsure.

Most undershelves and support kits use a clip or bolt fixing that slots into the posts of a compatible shelving unit — no drilling required in the majority of cases. Gresilva shelf support kits, for example, are designed for tool-free assembly on matching Gresilva frames. Always confirm the post spacing and shelf depth of your current unit matches the accessory's listed dimensions before you buy.

Many of the solid undershelves are constructed from stainless steel or coated steel, making them resistant to moisture and easy to wipe down. That said, suitability for refrigerated or wet environments depends on the specific product's material and finish. Check the individual product page for material details, and contact us if you need guidance on a particular application.

Wipe stainless steel and coated steel surfaces with a damp cloth and a mild detergent regularly. Avoid abrasive scourers that can scratch protective coatings and create sites for corrosion. For undershelves in food-contact zones, a food-safe sanitiser applied after cleaning will keep surfaces compliant with kitchen hygiene standards. Check fixings and brackets periodically to make sure nothing has worked loose under the weight of stored goods.

There is no minimum order at Chefs Depot. You can buy a single shelf support kit or one undershelf and we'll ship it to you anywhere in Australia. That flexibility suits operators who need to replace a damaged component quickly without committing to a full shelving order.

Pricing varies depending on size, material and brand. Compact support kits sit at the lower end of the range, while wider solid undershelves and branded equipment stands from Rational or Metro sit higher. Members save off RRP on every product in this category, so signing up before you order is the easiest way to keep your fit-out costs down.
